TESSIE'S NEWS AND EVENTS

As an active part of her local community, Tessie regularly takes part in community

events with the purpose of bettering lives for many, as well as helping other local

small businesses. Tessie can often be found setting up shop in local Pop-Up

Furniture sales, joining the handmade community by displaying both her

refreshed furniture and her soaps, and she holds annual craft sales for

small Orleans businesses. In fact, just last month, Tessie took part in 4;

you heard right, FOUR, sales in and around Orleans.  You may have

seen Tessie and her furniture and/or soaps and creams recently at:

End of November, 2016:  Orleans Small Handmade Sale at Al Jue Ask

4 on St. Joseph. Teresa, herself, organized this as she does a few times a

year to help support other local small creative businesses in Orleans.

As usual, it was quite successful.

November 22, 2016: Teresa joined a bunch of her fellow Orleansers at a winter market, Heart of Orleans Winter Marché where hundreds of local vendors showed off and sold their handmade items. You can see some of it here

November 20th, 2016:  Teresa also took part in the Blackburn Craft Sale. Loads of people participated in this event, including a lot of our very own Orleansers!

November 6th, 2016: And lastly, (or firstly), as if she weren't busy enough, Teresa also took part in The GCWCC Sale. It's an annual sale that Teresa and her mother attend. Not only is it a great way to showcase your handmade items and purchase from other local vendors, but it's a great way to help a cause as it raises funds for the United Way. Check out Teresa's part in it here.

October 8th, 2016: Teresa joined almost two dozen chalk paint furniture refreshers in an Annual Refreshed Furniture Pop-Up Shop.  This was held in Hintonburg, Ottawa at the Somerset West Square.  It was a cold and rainy morning but that didn't stop the droves of people that came out to see what refreshed furniture was really about.  Many people went home with beautiful pieces to be cherished for years to come.  The date is already set for the Fall of 2017!  It is an event that you won't want to miss!

Also, back in September, Teresa took part in a community outreach program for Ottawa Community Housing by joining other people in helping to transform the lounge in one of the residences to make it a more comfortable and inviting place for residents to be. I am sure this made a huge impact in many peoples' lives.

It is that time of year again!  That means it is time for the 5th Annual Refreshed Furniture Pop-Up.  There will 100's of pieces of furniture and accessories by multiple furniture refinishers.
